Marshall Johnson, Campus Life Director

Born and raised in Greensboro, Marshall graduated from North Carolina A & T State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Recreation. Marshall has had many years of experience working with youth, both with Youth For Christ and as a middle school youth pastor. He is married to Cindy and they have three grown children, Nancy, Lisa and Katie, and six dearly loved grandchildren.

In Marshall’s own words: At the age of thirteen I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior during a revival at my church. My dad died that same year and God provided two men to step in and fill that gap for me. During my college days, I fell in love with middle school students through a ministry called Lifeline (a division of Greater Greensboro Youth For Christ), which provided men and women to minister to at-risk middle school students. Middle school years are a time when young people need balance in their lives. “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52) I feel a great urgency to minister to this group of young people and the desire for them to know that their greatest need in life is having a personal relationship with Jesus.
